Our Privacy Philosophy

We believe your most personal moments should remain exactly that—personal. Unlike most apps that upload your data to their servers, Finite Days stores everything locally on your device. We can't read your memories because we never have access to them.

What Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

• Journal entries — All text you write in your memories
• Photos and videos — Media you attach to memories
• Voice notes — Audio recordings you capture
• Mood selections — How you felt each day
• Time capsules — Messages to your future self

This data is stored in a local database and the device's file system. If you delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.

What We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide the service:

Account Information

• Email address (if you sign up with email)
• Apple ID identifier (if you sign in with Apple)
• Google ID identifier (if you sign in with Google)
• Your name (optional, for personalization)
• Birthdate (to calculate life statistics)

App Usage Analytics

• Feature usage (which screens you visit)
• App open/close events
• Crash reports and error logs
• Device type and OS version

Analytics are anonymized and used solely to improve the app experience. We do not sell this data to third parties.

Purchase Information

• Purchase status for entitlement verification

We do not have access to your payment details—these are handled securely by Apple.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Finite Days:

• Supabase — Authentication and account management
• RevenueCat — Purchase management
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases
• Google — Sign in with Google

Data Backup

Finite Days includes a manual backup feature that creates a ZIP file containing your memories and media. This backup:

• Is created locally on your device
• Is shared only where you choose to save it (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, etc.)
• Is never uploaded to our servers

You are responsible for the security of your backup files once exported.

Data Retention

• Local data — Retained until you delete the app or manually delete content
• Account data — Retained until you delete your account
• Analytics data — Retained for up to 24 months, then anonymized

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Export all your data via the backup feature
• Delete — Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
• Portability — Export your memories in a portable format

Changes to This Policy
